Work performance enhancement
Interesting ideas all…including the yerba mate'...i drink a lot of coffee..a lot, so when i go off that caffeine cliff its over...all it does is make me shaky and irate and my energy actually decreases...so pretty much everyone agrees whites are not the place to start. Then who the heck is using whites or are the just mixing with greens to fine tune....great advice so far keep it flowing.
I read on the Kratom EU website that black pepper extract (BioPeperine) will enhance the effect of Kratom properties if taken 15 minutes before.
I have heard the same thing about the potentiation of tumeric for joint pain that i use occasionally. Lemon as well some say. I would also be interested in the use of mango extract or puree due to the myrcene.
I'm aware of piperine, but haven't heard about myrcene before. I need to get a mango tree going regardless. So tell us, have you tried any of these methods so far and has anything worked for you?

Myrcene is a terpene found in some plants but is abundant in mangos it makes things easier to cross the blood brain barrier, made me wonder about its use with kratom. Might have to start a potentiation thread :sleepy: I have been lucky to have not had one of those brutal long days to try, but I am thinking I might try a dry run to see what works, rather than winging it when it is really needed.  Thanks everyone.
Good call on the potenation thread. I’ll chime in with some thoughts of my own when i see it pop up.
If you need a boost just grab some "Jet Fuel" caps from most supps shops. the original. No crash. Nothing like just straight caffeine. Adrafinal for the occasional long days, it's a wakefulness nootropic.
TheAegis, since I don't think it was mentioned I would also recommend trying ilex guayusa. Very smooth energy with no crash. Tea or chewing leaves works well. I suppose some proprietary drinks could work well also..

You say smooth energy? how does it compare to kratom and how does it interact with kratom. Will mentioned herba mate is it similar? You should also pop some of this information into Wills thread  http://theakaforum.com/Thread?Kratom-General-Information/Ethnobotanicals/My-big-fat-list-of-useful-non-scheduled-plant-medicines-and-more
I've added coffee back into my diet… no choice. I'll have to look into ilex guayusa

Maybe once or twice monthly as I usually have trouble winding down, not up.  I use coffee alone in my morning ritual. On the rare evening I need a boost, this is my ticket. I find that it blends very nicely with the kratom.  I just chew a couple leaves at once for a smooth boost, with no downward jitters. It adds to the "happy" factor also- similar to how some kola nut can be an effective social lubricant. That's a nice addition to the added energy it gives (I really like kola nut for _that effect_). Sorry, i don't have enough experience with herba mate, so I wouldn't compare the two in any detail.

As for Yerba Mate, I have tried it but was not impressed, however, as we all know, with herbals it is all about finding quality product. One try does not an opinion make, right?
@'TheAegis': > I know that kratom is not a nootropic to enhance cognitive function. Sometimes my work has a bad day and I end up working 18 or more hours. I need to be focused and energized and social to some degree. What I cannot be is edgy, buzzy or iratable. Caffeine ultimately falls down after a while and if you keep going if kicks into irritable and hand shaky almost anxiety. I don't need it every day just those times a couple times of month when I need to continue with high function and attention. I know samples sample sample but what are the starting point strains. What do you like, length of effect, advantages and disadvantages…I know that every one is different and there are no had fast rules. What is your take? > > I love super green.  It is the opposite of edgy and for me, it lasts a bit longer than a typical Maeng Da.    Super Green is a Malaysian strain, and the Super is for the large leaves on to of the plant that are harvested.  It will not kick you in the pants but it shouldn't make you sweat or anxious either. 3 grams = 4 hours of pain free active work. (on your feet, moving or lugging stuff around, I mean really working hard)  For anyone going to the gym for a workout, be prepared to stay a while.  Super Green turns me into Super Man.  If you are looking for any kind of head change, exercise makes me feel better than any medication, you can take super green, go for 5 mile walk, not too fast..... tell me where your head is when your done.  I bet you feel good as long as your blessed with the ability to stay moving for that long.  It has everything you need in it to help reduce opioid /opoidblocker medication effectively.  That clears your head up a bit too.  So many ways that Kratom can help improve performance, and even if it is indirectly, Super Green has the ability to create amazing focus, simply by reducing the distraction of pain.
Well after some sampling as suggested, here is where I am….these are my experiences only....ymmv Jade Malay....seemed ok for energy, very easy..where this seemed to shine was for pain relief during the day...this had an odd effect (on me) of feeling like my face was just slightly numb....would quickly use if I had a dental visit or sinus thing going on....dry eyes Super Green Malay....great energy, focused, wanted to keep going on projects...BUT when I was not working I had a bit of chest tightness almost feeling a bit anxious...not anxiety..more like I was supposed to be moving.....probably great for long hikes or working out Green Malay.....hmmm pretty good I just kind of feel “awake”...enjoy washing the car kinda thing, this would be a good Sunday getting stuff done around the house strain...coffee replacement? Emerald Borneo.....very very nice...steady energy and a feeling of well-being.....get stuff done but do not feel driven or the least bit edgy...seems to ease any general aches and is a bit more “social” if you know what I mean..... So my go to is now the EB then the GM with the JM in reserve for a day when the aches are bad but still want to be busy... All of this is, of course, my experience...and I maintained a standard amount across the board just to have a starting foundation.
