Hey there everyone!!
So I’m new here but not new to Kratom!! My husband has been taking Kratom on and off for years before I met him!! He first introduced Kratom to me back in October/November 2016 and it’s a miracle plant for me!! We are however having trouble finding suppliers that give us good quality kratom.. don’t get me wrong our Americans vendors are amazing it’s just that the supply isn’t always amazing!!  A little bit of our back story!! My husband and I are both in recovery from drugs and alcohol. My DOC was alcohol and Adderall and his was anything he could get his hands on with the major ones being heroin and meth!! Well he has been off Heroin for over 2 years and we have both been clean of amphetamines for 18 months!!  Kratom and God have done marvelous things for both of us.. thank you God for putting this Plant on earth for all of us to use for healing our brokenness!!
Wow that's some turn around, for both of you too. Kind of interested in hearing more, did the both of you adopting Kratom at the same time help make it easier to sustain and avoid your DOC? Thanks for sharing, and a big welcome!
Hello & Welcome, Heather … ![](https://i.imgur.com/WVL4nYt.gif) When You get the chance please check out our Testimonials & consider adding your story. I can assure you that I along with many others here _never_ tire of reading them.

Yes, most definitely. My husband says it helps him stay off opiates. He likes to work hard and being in the oilfield, he has to. Pills like hydrocodone would give him a boost of energy and he could work harder. He literally couldn't say no to pills. But now while taking kratom, he can see a whole bottle of them and not even think about it. Plus, he says that somehow the kratom acts like Suboxone in that if he were to take some, he wouldn't feel them…so why waste them and risk a drug test?  I'd say it helps us both with amphetamines. It helps my ADD pretty well, but not completely. And since kratom relaxes me, it certainly helps with avoiding alcohol.  IDK what we're going to do if they make it illegal. We're both devout Christians and actually pray to God that they won't ban it.

As to the subs, I have read some terrible stories from people as they discontinue subs. It's not pretty nor is it something I would wish on anybody. Subs are not the innocuous meds they are portrayed as & they are NOT easy to withdraw from if used regularly. As for making kratom illegal, lets all work together to make sure that is not a question we are forced to answer. We have something very powerful, we have each other.

We have something very powerful, we have each other. Yeah, subs are awful. Almost worse than heroin (so says my husband).  Oh, I forgot too…he was on 3 different meds. Trazodone, Effexor (antidepressant), and gabapentin (for anxiety and RLS). Within the last 9 months or so, he has successfully (though not easily) discontinued all 3 meds. This was huge bc they were causing him problems and he felt he was just sub-ing one addiction for another...he had WD and everything.  But I gotta say, our spiritual walk has done more for us than anything. Kratom has been a tool. But the spiritual side has done a lot for our marriage and character as people. (Not trying to sound preachy) In only 18 months, we went from being homeless and on meth, to me being a trusted employee doing payroll for 11 restaurants my boss owns, my husband having a job in the oilfield, and we have custody of two of our nieces. CPS gave us custody of all people! lol. We're very grateful for both kratom and the people that are fighting for it.
That is a pretty impressive story. Please do write a full testimonial. Then dig in and share your advocacy and input. A kratom couple is very interesting I would like to hear the dynamics of the colors and strains, what each uses and how you match that up when together. A lot to share, I look foward to your posts in the forum.
Can't help but feel good hearing such a journey. It's pretty special that as human beings we have the ability to learn how to learn better, and as a result.. really create change. Sometimes you have to taste the rock bottom before you learn the stars were up there all along.
