It's happening!

The wave of sensible legislation that began in Utah with the Kratom Consumer Protection Act is working its way eastward to Kansas. The BEA has had its efforts in Kansas now for quite some time with one of our trusted lobbyist and we're excited to announce some very hopeful news.

If you remember last year in Feb 2018, Kansas was one of the states we saved from banning kratom through our grassroots efforts which YOU helped make happen by emailing your stories. Right now, we've decided to on the offense with this key piece of legislation that's now being introduced in the House.

HB 2400 is a Kansas bill that, if passed, will enact the Kratom Consumer Protection Act which includes clauses to prohibit:

"any dealer to manufacture, prepare, distribute, sell or otherwise provide food that is represented to be a kratom product, unless the dealer discloses the factual basis for such representation on the label of such product"

"is mixed or packed with a non-kratom substance that affects the quality or strength of the kratom product to such a degree as to render the kratom product harmful if consumed"

"that does not state the amount of mitragynine and 7- hydroxymitragynine contained in such product on the label of such product"

"It shall be unlawful for any dealer to distribute, sell or otherwise provide any kratom product to an individual under 18 years of age"

Read the full bill HB2400 for all the details.

If it passes, it will set the tone for even more states to come and will provide a more fortified stronghold for protecting kratom's legal status. Once it has been established that Kratom is safe for legal consumption through this bill, it will be infinitely more difficult for naysayers to propose a bill attempting to ban it.

Remember, if you're satisfied with our work then please donate $5, $25 or $100 to keep us afloat as we depend on you for our success!

With Gratitude,

Ryan, Angela & the BEA Board
