Transferring Rooting Cuttings to Soil
Some soil transfer pics. Soil is lowest quality big box store potting mix, perlite, and some dried+lovingly hand crumbled horse... piles. Plastic cups are 3.8 inches diameter on the open side. Have them double cupped, the inner cup is punctured 4x 0.125-0.25in holes for drainage. The product of this process may need to go back in a humidity dome for a little while. I broke off a small number of roots. While the peat pods worked, it seems like they stopped the roots from emerging and may have hampered full growth. The poly fabric wrapping was impossible to remove by pulling, so i cut it away before transfer. I also crumbled off most of the peat pod, (coir?) to expose the roots more. It seems like perlite or a mixture of peat and perlite without the pod fabric would work best. ![A3348010-0BE9-43B5-BC7B-A26A2F38FCE8.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/v1Izfoq.jpg) ![692D9863-DBE0-47A7-8AA2-1B67EFC1B17E.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/E6XCctq.jpg) ![DD37EDD1-D5D1-446B-8BB1-153AAD7ABAF4.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/f0M465s.jpg) ![650BB813-1B0C-474D-8ED4-EA97825DD801.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/R7vFJ4c.jpg) ![B5F2AE11-66AD-4929-82B2-9D8CFF301AA1.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/Zgtit9I.jpg) ![6225BA4A-1007-4260-AABF-953C62438F92.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/xkoYBpK.jpg) ![0F2FC3E1-A1A3-4C4F-A47B-00EF44DBF336.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/zISNSZl.jpg) ![2BBBC12D-8D41-4854-9DD6-C0B9E3812F81.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/rbjIkXs.jpg) ![FB0377C4-8742-4A5C-AAD7-A4334855C1CD.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/dqYgFLp.jpg) ![985D5579-D1AE-44B7-A7A1-1779EA335425.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/2PPDLOC.jpg)

Really digging the pictures all really good shots. I see you have perlite stuffed into the peat pod how often did you water or Mist those or did you just let them sit in a dish of water
I “water” the humidity dome with a tiny spray mister bottle. The one i had came in a “Back To Roots” oyster mushroom growing kit. I would spray quite a few sprays toward the roots/perlite stuffing 0.5-2x a day. I think an issue may have been overwatering the peat pod. When they’re waterlogged they hold in so much, the roots cant go anywhere. I think thats why the perlite helped, it left air spaces for gas exchange.

Forgot one of my favorite photos ![353C57FF-B569-41E7-99EB-14C1E1A04196.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/o5MsT2E.jpg) This one was growing super aggressively. Might have to clone it out? Who knows.
