They grow fast. I plant early in Florida since they tend to bloom July~August or there abouts iirc. The bigger the plant the bigger the bloom, so early starts make the biggest blooms. Don't crowd for biggest size. Feed heavy, like corn. Varieties like 'Mammoth ' are great here near Daytona.
