its a local thing. Cough syrup , boiled leaves, and other things added like booze. Not a responsible use of kratom. Sorta like a dentist's kids getting hold of daddy's laughing gas tanks and playing with his medications. No laughing matter. Regular straight kratom is not a problem. Unless it competes with big pharma. Or competes with the CIA's sponsored heroin crop.(most likely that's why it was banned in Thailand.)
