well a large branch on one of my oldest and largest Kratom trees decided to split. Pretty upsetting that's such a large branch broke.

At first I thought I might be able to tie it up but it was just too large so then I cut off most of it and attempted again and it just wasn't going to work. So it turned into an early Harvest and some trimming.

So now I got this big gaping open side on my tree. Started looking at some of the other larger branches and I'm starting to consider trimming some of those to avoid this from happening again. Anybody else run into this?

They will grow back. I dread thinking of the damages if one broke at the main crotch!!

 they're always plenty of hidden dormant buds waiting for the signal to start growing. Nature fills voids and hates a vacuum. great potent autumn colors coming in now  sort of look like little flames 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

How old is your tree?
Looks young. The leaves are very green but I saw some differences from the trunk and leaves.
Is that green vein kratom?

I saw the difference with the tree behind my house, in Indonesia.
When it is young, there are small pink, pink leaves on the tips of the branches. And the stems are seen to have a unique appearance like they are insulated
