Because the use of kratom is a personal choice I can only tell you what my _own_ choice is, ok? I used kratom initially to help me deal with severe pain due to a broken back & crushed disc. Once I had fully recovered from spinal-fusion surgery & no longer needed pain management I walked away for several years. I have returned due to crippling anxiety, so severe that I could not function normally, as in, glued to the couch paralysis. Now, with the assistance of kratom I am able to live my life again & trust me, my husband is thrilled & relieved to have me back, lol. So, I have made a conscious choice to continue my use rather than return myself & my husband back to what I call my dark place. Please, make yourself at home & explore the huge amount of current information that is available here. I assure you, the more information you have the easier & wiser your choices regarding kratom will be. Also, never hesitate to ask, tap into the experience & wisdom of our community. I believe you will find that we are, as a whole, very caring & supportive of our fellow members.

Therefore, I would think that Kratom would be very beneficial for you, and since it is a natural botanical I don't see how it could hurt. I found an interesting reading piece: The 5 Stages of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. It talks about how important it is to address the underlying issues of Hashimoto; amongst them stress and depression. You might do yourself a world of good by treating any anxiety you may have associated with your illness with Kratom.
