Moisture pockets idea
So after it being mentioned that I should have put in some moisture retention like coconut coir since my soil drain so well and I've already planted the plants. I thought how can I do this after the fact. So I got this idea of digging moisture Pockets around the plant and the plants Roots will naturally find them. So I use a post hole digger dug a hole 2 ft deep filled it with the coconut and Wallah in moisture pocket. What are your thoughts? I think this will work on mature trees quite well. ![alt text](https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-WPqtm2N/0/5210db66/XL/i-WPqtm2N-XL.jpg) ![alt text](https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-jpc3mwM/0/5a57736e/XL/i-jpc3mwM-XL.jpg)

You did plant that pretty recently correct? I think you said to the plan is under a year old? It could work I don't think that the roots have pushed outwards that far yet. especially if you just planted it within the past month it wouldn't have had enough time to expand its roots. Maybe giving it a little closer might be better but placement isn't that bad still far enough away. Maybe do another side as well with the coconut husks. I'd also recommend placing fishing motion below the coconut husks. Also while you're there it wouldn't be a bad idea to dig a whole next to the trees root system and put a PVC pipe in the hole so that way you can dump fishing motion down to the roots of the plant easily. It also recommend expanding the amount of hay around the tree as it'll help make that soil a little bit more moist but what do you have there should work fine.
Woa, brilliant. Definitely interested.
