Caterpillar alert!  Look closer...

Diatomaceous earth is organic and natural cure ...

This looks like frost on these leaves, but this is ancient tiny sea shells from diatoms. Like ground up glass to us, it cuts them bugs to pieces. Harmless to us. Just dont inhale 100 lbs ....and dont drop bags of it either ❄❄❄ what a mess when the old paper tore. The diatomaceous earth is millions of years old, but the paper bags weren't. 🥶

@peteypyro wow nature looks weird. Do you just sprinkle the powder on the leaf?

@guywithtrees I use a duster, it's easier than by hand.

This stuff got everywhere when some old bags tore..... ooops

some years I use a lot of product....for pool filtering media. Ants die quickly from it, as it cuts their exoskeletons to sheds, like crushed window glass is to us.

Barrels full. All for a happy, happy garden.

wow what a mess, I would hate to have to clean that stuff up. I use it all the time around my chickens and sprinkle some in their food every now and then to get rid of any worms they may have but it's not working as well on the ants as I'd like it to. I have to keep putting it down and I've been doing it for weeks but they're still there. I've never had caterpillars on my plants before though

forgot to mention it should be food grade
